Toots use Peanuts as currency. You can earn Peanuts in various ways in the game world.
The game is really free, so you don't have to use any “Earth money,” and you can't buy peanuts for dollars or pounds or Euros. You'll have to earn them.
(Parents: don't panic, it's never “real” money!)
