Linux (Fedora, Ubuntu, Debian, etc.)[edit]
If you're using the Gnome desktop (you probably are), in the top-right corner of the screen are your settings. Click on the top-right corner and from the pull-down menu select Settings
In the left side, choose WiFi if you use a wireless connection, or Network if you use something other than WiFi (such as a wired connection or cellular modem) to connect.
For WiFi, make sure Airplane Mode is off. Choose your WiFi network name and click or tap to connect.
macOS[edit]
Open the Apple Menu and choose System Preferences. From the System Preferences panel, click the Network icon to review your settings.
