In Tootsville IV, Persephone was the name for the Adobe Flash front-end program that actually “played the game.”

This program was written in ActionScript 3, a variant of Javascript, and is what was loaded into the web browser (using the Flash Browser Plug-In) on the “play now” page.

The same program, with different HTML code to configure it, was also used for the “netbook/small screen” edition of the game.

Persephone was mostly created by Robert Dawson and BlackDaddyNerd
