Peanuts are the virtual currency of Tootsville. You can earn peanuts in the game, and use them to buy in-game items.
Note: there is no way to buy peanuts for “real” Earth money.

If you're chatting in the game, type two of these currency signs together and it'll turn into the Peanuts symbol:
