Currently all server costs and advertising are paid by BRFennPocock.
A system for donations towards these expenses will be established, if you'd like to contribute, contact him directly for now.
Things we have discussed
- Eventually, Violet Volts would like to become a proper, registered, incorporated, not-for-profit foundation. This is not likely to happen in 2016.
- Sponsorships vs. Advertising: We are willing to discuss the difference. We do not want to include blatant advertising content. However, tasteful sponsorships may be acceptable.
- Scholarships or patronage for developers/artists or Builder Bounties
- Patreon-like model for continuing small-dollar donations like Wikipedia or PBS
