Historical use only.

In Res Interactive's Tootsville, a V.I.T. (usually explained as “Very Important Toot”) was a paid subscriber to the site; although many (perhaps most) VIT memberships were “gifted” to members.

After Hillside Demo, Res Interactive switched their business model from trying to sell expensive robotic Toots dolls to be subscription-based. VITs were the only players allowed to be Biped characters in Tootsville III, and had private areas which only they could access in Tootsville IV, although it was unclear why anyone would care to do so, in many cases.

Nonetheless, Res Interactive's Tootsville was often critiqued on “pushing” the VIT memberships in a heavy-handed way on users.
