Operators Getting Started

What you'll need:

• Firefox, preferably, although Chrome could/should work
• You must be at least 13 and preferably 18+.

Required Accounts:

• You'll need a reliable e-mail address that you can be reached at.
  • Want to filter your Gmail? Gmail filtering with +
• Your sign-in account for Tootsville, ie, for now a Google Account
  • You'll have to have Operator privileges given to one of your Toots.
  • If you sign in with that Toot, you should see that it's marked as an Operator.
• A separate account is needed for this Wiki-Wiki. Look in the top-right corner of the screen now to sign up.
• You'll also need a Trello login. (You can sign up for free with your Google Account.)
  • Request to join the Trello team for Violet Volts to see the Operations board.

Optional Accounts:

• You can, optionally, also sign up to blog at [Tootsbook.com] if you want.
• If you'd like to watch the GitHub projects, you'll need a GitHub account also. Software issues are tracked there. https://github.com/romance-ii/violet-volts/issues is the main project to watch

Learn how to use it:

• Operator Commands work in the game itself.
• The Operators Whiteboard is where policies and procedures and such are found. You'll want to bookmark this page.
• Check out Trello for Operators as well

Your mentor:

• You should be paired up with a Builder or Operator as a mentor; contact them to see how to handle things.

If you get stuck:

• Use WALLOPS to raise a flare for any operators present. If no other operators are around, this will signal the On-Call Builder.
