Assist players!

Check for mail in the Support mailbox. If the mail isn't something you can immediately and correctly solve, send a polite response to the writer and forward the issue to the appropriate person/group. (That usually means, contact a Builder.)

Sites Up?

Check each of our major web sites — ensure that the front pages load, no obvious problems, et al. When possible, check each using “private” or “incognito” mode. Always check in Firefox, at least daily; when practical, check in Chrome as well, on Mac or Windows as well as Fedora, etc.

Note, the tootstest/news last one is not a URI we want to share with the public, but it does test the link from Tootsbook to the game server. It may change in future.

Social Media

Visit each of our Social Media pages. Reply to any questions or comments in a friendly, respectful way. Make sure to engage the speaker by clearly and directly answering any questions in simple form, and then invite them to learn more by exploring a relevant Wiki-Wiki page or Tootsbook article. In the case of defacements, spam, garbage, etc. the offensive content should be deleted, not responded-to, in most cases.

Sites: Specific Functions

Test that these main functions work properly:

Perform a search for a key word or phrase on Tootsbook
Click a “tag cloud” entry on Tootsbook
Search for text on Wiki-Wiki
Check Special:RecentChanges and patrol any changes. Check for defacement. Correct spelling or grammar when necessary.
Go directly to http://tootsville.org/error/404.shtml and make sure the error page displays nicely with the Bella animation and sound effect.

Search for “Tootsville” on Google, Yahoo, Bing, and DuckDuckGo. See if anything unusual (eg: a new review) appears on the first page of results.
